The signing of half-back James Webster from Parramatta Eels in December 2004 was a statement of Roversโ€™ ambition to become a Super League side.

In this HeritageCast we take a look back at 'Webbo's' incredible career in red and white which included becoming the clubs youngest ever Head Coach.

National Rail cup success over Castleford preceded promotion to Super League in 2007 and the start of a halcyon period for the Robins with the club going on to cementing their place in the top flight of rugby league.

James discusses the wild celebrations that followed promotion, how he dealt with the pressure of taking on so much responsibility at such a young age and that move to the black and whites back in 2008.

In 94 appearances for the Robins, Webster scored 33 tries and dropped nine goals. Short and wiry, he was an intelligent player who read the game well; leading, prompting, and organising his team. He had a top-class kicking game and was always dangerous with ball in hand.
